Butch Whitehead hosts Department Commander Oather Martin and National Commander Dan Contreras to celebrate the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) centennial. They highlight the transportation program, offering free rides to veterans via 39 vehicles, and a concierge service aiding 1800 caregivers in under two years. The DAV supports women veterans with a Minneapolis clinic and advocacy, while job programs like RecruitMilitary and Patriot Boot Camp empower veterans. Legislative efforts like the Pact Act address toxic exposures. The DAV plans to enhance volunteerism, inclusivity, and advocacy to support veterans and families in the next century.
