Southeast MN Transportation Program

Serving the counties of Olmsted, Winona, Blue Earth, and surrounding areas

The Southeast Transportation Program serves ambulatory, non-wheelchair-bound Veterans to and from VA medical appointments at various VA Medical Centers and clinics. The Southeast Transportation program has 6 vehicles stationed at the Rochester VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC), Winona County Veteran Services Building, and Mankato Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC).

Rides are provided to Minneapolis and Tomah VA Hospitals and the Community-Based Outpatient Clinics in Mankato, Rochester, and LaCrosse (WI). Call for availability to VA referred community care appointments.

Pick-up and drop-off schedules are determined by daily rider needs and volunteer driver availability. Please call Kati at 507-703-1139 as soon as possible to schedule a ride to your appointment.

Meet your Southeast Transportation Coordinator Kati Carpenter!

Kati Carpenter was born and raised in Rochester, MN. She joined the U.S. Navy out of high school in 2004. She deployed to Iraq in 2006-2007 with the VAQ-140 Patriots during the OIF/OEF campaign and was honorably discharged in 2011. She moved back to Rochester to be near family and to raise her son.

Kati is passionate about helping Veterans get the proper care they need. She was hired as the Southeast Transportation Coordinator in October 2018 and built the Southeast Program into what it is today. In 2022 she was voted in as the first female Commander of DAV Mayo SE Chapter 28. She is very involved with chapter events and many other veterans events around the Rochester and SE Minnesota area.
