DAV of Minnesota Chapter 2 Saint Paul member and Navy SEAL Veteran Richard Walker received a life-changing gift on Veterans Day—an accessible bathroom remodel in his home. After 21 years of service in the Navy, Richard went on to a second career as an electrician with IBEW and later as a counselor in the Minneapolis School System. Over the years, he has undergone multiple surgeries, making movement in his home challenging. Thanks to a partnership between Disabled American Veterans (DAV) of Minnesota, Tundraland, and Your Home Improvement Company through Baths for the Brave, the remodel was completed in just one day, transforming his bathroom into a safer, more functional space.
