The Foundation is responsible for the primary funding of the signature DAV MN transportation program which provides veterans with round trip transportation services to his or her VA and non-VA medical appointments in 5 different states; Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. The Foundation also provides financial assistance in support of rural transportation programs outside of our DAV MN network.

In 2021 the DAV MN Transportation Program logged over 1.2 million miles and transported over 25,000 veterans to and from their VA medical appointments for free. Even with these efforts, one of the primary barriers between Veterans and their care remains transportation. As such, it remains one of the highest priorities for the DAV MN to assist Veterans.
