Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota recently approached the St. Cloud DAV Chapter and Auxiliary Unit #9 to partner with them to make scarfs for veterans at St. Cloud VA Medical Center. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 5 through 14 that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people facing adversity. A $600 check was contributed by the DAV Chapter #9 and DAV MN Foundation to purchase materials and refreshments for the children involved in the project.
