North Iowa Southern Minnesota Veteran Stand Down to be held on September 23, 2023

MASON CITY, IOWA – The North Iowa Southern Minnesota Veteran Stand Down will take place on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the North Iowa Fairgrounds in Mason City, Iowa. The event, which is open to all Veterans, is established to provide support, resources, goods, and assistance to those who have served in the military, and to their families.

Veterans and their families are invited to meet at the North Iowa Event Center: 3700 4th Street SW in Mason City, Iowa. The Event will be open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Veteran Stand Down offers a wide range of services and resources. Agencies will be on site to aid any Veteran who is insecure about housing, food, clothing, employment, physical health, mental health, alcohol and/or substance abuse. In addition, financial
advisors, education guidance counselors, and legal advisors will be available. Veterans and their families can also participate in recreational activities and receive hot meals. The North Iowa Southern Minnesota Stand Down is a collaborative effort between local government agencies, non-profit organizations, and private businesses. It is open to all Veterans, regardless of discharge status, and is free of charge.
