Disabled American Veterans of MN (DAV) – 2014 Golf Classic a Huge Success

Prior Lake,MN: The DAV of MN Foundation’s 7th Annual Golf Classic held June 4th at the Wilds golf course in Prior Lake was a huge success. We were blessed with a beautiful golf weather day, a great course and 144 golfers who clearly enjoyed the day. Sponsorships for the event were at an all-time high and we are certainly thankful for the sponsors as they have in the past and will continue to do so in 2014-2015, play a significant role in our DAV veterans transportation program success. The proceeds from the Golf Classic go to the purchase of new vans used in transporting veterans to and from their medical appointments at the MN VA medical Centers.

Just a few days prior to the event three new vans were delivered to the Minneapolis VAMC, donated by the MN DAV (see picture below).

During the event evening dinner Foundation Executive Director Stephen Whitehead and Commander Dave Valtinson thanked the DAV team of Dean Ascheman, Mark Jaruszewski, and Harry Wisdom for their efforts in coordinating the golf event, as well as the volunteers who helped make June 4th the best golf classic we have had over the past seven years.

As the pictures below show… a great time was enjoyed by all!
