In late 2014 the St. Cloud VA reached out to our local chapters to help support local Veterans in the St. Cloud area in need of clothing for things such as jobs or upcoming interviews. The chapters were able to support the St. Cloud Veteran Job Outreach Program and the clothing room at the St. Cloud VA Hospital to ensure that our Veterans were set up for success as they leave the St. Cloud VA Hospital. Through this program Veterans who are in-patients and do not have the clothing they need are able to get the much needed articles of clothing to support their stay until they can get back into the workforce.

Through the DAV of MN Clothing Donation Program Anoka Chapter 39 was able to donate $2500 and St. Cloud Chapter 9 was able to donate $500 to help support Veterans in the process of getting back to work and fulfilling their clothing needs. With the funding that was donated the Hospital was able to purchase 384 articles of clothing ranging anywhere from socks to brand new heavy duty work clothes.
There is always strength in numbers and our Chapters coming together for this cause is proof of how successful Veterans can be at supporting one another. There truly is strength in numbers and we see this every time our chapters come together to support a cause and help us achieve our mission of empowering Veterans to lead high quality live with respect and dignity.
