Rich Daly Receives MN State Commander Outstanding Service Award

DAV State Commander Bob Erickson attended the Rochester Mayo-Hiawatha Chapter 28 meeting on Nov. 9th to update the Chapter on membership recruitment results as well as present to Chapter 28 Commander Rich Daly , the State Commanders Outstanding Service Award for his outstanding service to veterans in SE Minnesota. Mr. Daly also recently received the Lourdes High School Foundations,  Alumni of the Year Award in recognition of his service to the community.  Daly is a 1966 graduate of Lourdes High School and a disabled veteran of the VietNam war.. In attendance at the meeting was Chapter 28 member and DAV Past National Commander Jim Sursely (currently living in Apopka Fl).   Sursely, also a graduate of Lourdes class of 1966 was alumni of the year in 2002. Mayo-Hiawatha Chapter of the DAV is a 700 member organization that covers SE MN. The Chapter is recognized as one of the most community active Chapters in the State thanks to the Daly leadership as well as the many members passion to serve veterans in the SE MN community.
